Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day is usually the holiday that signifies that summer is officially here and we can start enjoying summer break. However, there were a few too many snow days this winter...school is still in session. The state track meet is also held in Jefferson City over the holiday weekend - so our plans included hot bleachers, friends in Columbia, and pool time. At least the weather was on the "summer break" plan! All in all, who has room to complain? Family, friends, and water always make for great entertainment! :)

We were happy to go to Jeff City and support our Coach and his hurdler! He did awesome - 2nd at state! Siena was a trooper! It was 90 degrees and all sun...that makes for hot bleachers! But with lots of people clapping in the bleachers, Siena was entertained and joined right in on the excitement.



While in the area, we visited our friends Derek, Kelli, and baby Joshua. Gotta have bathtub pictures! Always good to see great friends.



We have been looking forward to using the pool - this weekend was the perfect opportunity. Siena was pretty excited to get in for the very first time. She had a new floaty, a cute suit, and sunscreen - what girl wouldn't be happy?! Matt was also pretty excited to give Siena her first swim lesson...while I held my breath... :)

After getting some tips for her buddy Joshua, Siena decided to give her walker a try - with quite a bit of success!




On a beautiful day off, why not spend it with great friends?! Siena loves the company of her boys, Bryce and Brady! (We love the company of their parents too!)
